Profhilo bio-remodelling at coLaz
Profhilo at coLaz is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment that hydrates and bio-remodels the skin from within, improving firmness, tone and elasticity rather than adding volume. Delivered only by qualified clinicians using the five-point Bio-Aesthetic Points technique, at our seven UK clinics. From £450 per session, with a recommended course of two sessions four weeks apart for the full result.

Profhilo is one of the most-requested treatments on the coLaz menu because it sits in a gap that other injectables miss: it firms and hydrates the skin from within without changing its shape, and the result builds gradually rather than appearing overnight. We deliver it only by qualified clinicians, from £450 per session, across our seven UK clinics.
What Profhilo actually does
Profhilo is a stabilised hyaluronic acid injectable, but it is not a dermal filler. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule the body produces naturally to hold water in the skin and connective tissue. From the mid-thirties onwards, the body produces less of it, which is why skin loses bounce, the jawline softens and the neck starts to thin and crepe.
Once injected, Profhilo spreads out under the skin instead of staying in one spot, signalling the surrounding cells to produce more collagen and elastin. The skin texture improves, the surface looks firmer and more hydrated, and the underlying structure rebuilds gradually over the four weeks between session one and session two.
Profhilo is also the first established hyaluronic-acid product made without chemical cross-linking agents, which is one reason its safety profile is so strong. The result is a fresher version of your own face, not a changed one.
The five-point Bio-Aesthetic technique
Profhilo uses a precise injection pattern called Bio-Aesthetic Points, or BAP. On the face, the clinician maps five points per side — cheek, mid-temple, tear trough boundary, jawline and lower mandible — and places a small bleb of product just under the skin at each one. The product then spreads outwards from each point, covering a wider area than a traditional filler.
For neck, décolletage and hands, the clinician uses a tailored point map matched to the area's surface and movement. The whole session, including consent review and a final inspection, takes around thirty minutes.
Profhilo is a prescription product. At coLaz it is delivered only by qualified clinicians who hold the relevant medical qualification and have completed the Profhilo certification course — never by salon-trained staff. Treatment by a doctor is available at a slightly higher rate at every clinic.
After your Profhilo
Profhilo aftercare is straightforward. Do not touch, rub or massage the injection points for six hours. Skip makeup over the points for twelve hours, then wash your face gently the next morning. Avoid steam rooms, saunas, sunbeds, intense workouts and alcohol for forty-eight hours, and sleep on your back the first night to avoid pressure on the points.
Small raised bumps stay at each injection point for six to twelve hours, then settle as the product spreads. Very mild bruising can appear on one or two points and fades over two to three days. Most patients return to work the same afternoon.
The hydration result is visible within a week. The firming result builds across the four weeks to your second session, and the full bio-remodelling effect lands about four weeks after that. Most patients book a single maintenance session at six to nine months to hold the result in place.
Often paired with
Patients booking Profhilo often consider Sunekos as a complementary skin-quality booster, dermal fillers when shape change is needed in a specific area such as cheek volume or jawline contour, anti-wrinkle injections for dynamic lines that Profhilo does not address, and microneedling to support the collagen-stimulating effect from the surface as well as from within.
Common questions
What patients ask first.
What is Profhilo and how is it different from dermal fillers? +
Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment, but it is not a dermal filler. Where fillers are designed to add volume and shape in a specific spot, Profhilo spreads under the skin to hydrate the tissue and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The result is firmer, more elastic, better-hydrated skin without changing the underlying shape of your face. Profhilo also uses pure hyaluronic acid with no chemical cross-linking agents, which is one reason its safety profile is so strong. Patients often describe the outcome as looking like themselves, only fresher.
Where on the face and body can I have Profhilo? +
The face is the most common treatment area, using the Bio-Aesthetic Points technique that places five injection points per side along the cheek, jawline and temple. The neck, décolletage and back of the hands are popular secondary areas because the skin there ages quickly and topical products struggle to reach the deeper layers. We assess each area in consultation and only treat where the bio-remodelling effect will give you a result you can see. We do not treat under the eyes or the lips with Profhilo, because both areas need a product with structure rather than a spreading bio-remodeller.
How long do Profhilo results last and when will I see them? +
The hydration effect is visible within a week. The firming and bio-remodelling effect, which is the more meaningful one, builds over the four weeks between session one and session two, and reaches its peak about four weeks after session two. Most patients keep the result for six to nine months from the second session, and book a single maintenance session once a year to hold it in place. Skin condition, age, lifestyle and sun exposure all influence how long the result lasts, which is why we photograph before each course and review honestly together.
Does Profhilo hurt and is there any downtime? +
The injection itself feels like a quick pinch, similar to a blood test. Each point takes a second, and there are only five points per side on the face, so the whole session is over in around thirty minutes. There is no anaesthetic needed for most patients, although we can apply a topical numbing cream on request. Small raised bumps appear at each injection point and settle within six to twelve hours. There may be very mild bruising on one or two points which fades over two to three days, easily covered with light concealer the day after.
Is Profhilo safe and who should not have it? +
Profhilo has a strong safety record and uses pure hyaluronic acid that is naturally present in the body, with no added cross-linkers. It is delivered at coLaz only by qualified clinicians who have completed the Profhilo certification course. We do not treat patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have an active skin infection or cold sore in the treatment area, who have a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, or who have certain autoimmune conditions affecting connective tissue. Your clinician reviews medical history at consultation before agreeing to proceed.
How much does Profhilo cost at coLaz? +
Profhilo starts at £450 per session for face, neck or hands with one of our clinicians, and the standard course is two sessions four weeks apart. A course of two carries a discount over two single sessions, and a course of three is available for patients wanting a fuller bio-remodelling outcome. Treatment by one of our doctors is available at a slightly higher rate. The exact course and area-by-area pricing is confirmed in writing at your free consultation, before any session is booked.
